Took the tds down to the local Indys today to have a look at the steering tie rods and os front shocker

Seemed to be worse than what I though, they said the suspension leg was bent at the top and not to do many miles in it - I've already done 4k in it the past month

The parts will have to be ordered in from BMW and will get it done as I do like the car

Anyone explain what the suspension leg is and what this means? Any ideas of cost 8O

Should really post this on an E34 forum but they're mostly E30 bashers
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Have you walloped a kerb recently or something? Basically as long as the mounting points and the chassis are straight you can bolt on replacement suspension components and not worry. I don't know what they mean my suspension leg though, I'd have thought it was the shock, its the only vertical bit isn't it?

Thanks for getting back to me, I've not hit anything - it was like that when I bought it.

I should have listened to them properly instead of looking at 2 tasty 840's they had !

I think they said they took the top mount off to reveal the suspension leg? was bent and they mentioned it's very rare to see this happen and the part cost a bit ??? Sorry for being so vague !
