Nice looking car....apart from those council wheels!
The saloon is a rare car,why fit non OE wheels?

Are they breyton? I'd stick the naked system II rims on there. They look really cool.

I really dont like Estoril blue,I could never understand why they stopped Avus blue!
As far as I can remember the saloon was softer sprung and was slightly de-tuned!

this was in PPC Mag about 8 years ago on a buying guide. i havent read the eBay ad but from what i remember it was absolutely mint and the guy had kept to a ridiculously high standard. i think there was a story behind those horrid wheels in the mag but cant remember what it was.

I'll have to find the pictures of my old one...
I only bought mine for the colour! Then sold it to fund my new business venture.

Is it me, or does the car look 'airbrushed' in the advert?

BMW M3 E36 as an 4 door saloon is big business and to be honest, a car I would love to have instead of a lot of other cars!
I would like one in British Racing Green and the original M3 rims

Like you take your kids to an Pro Photograph to take some nice pictures of them, the seller have done the same with his M3 and the pictures are very good and it isnt often you see an advert like this regarding quality of the pictures.Jon_Bmw wrote:Is it me, or does the car look 'airbrushed' in the advert?

These things are getting more and more tempting, all that grunt and the ability to load granny into the back seat
snag is,when the thing goes wrong it will be expensive to sort properly.A well spec'd 328i may well be a better buy.

i like the 4door, isnt the shell supposed to be stiffer than the coupes too?
a bit more grown up and sensible than the coupe, which is both good and bad. i do like the subtleness when in dark colours. a black one, no rear spoiler, standard wheels, coupe suspension would do the job for me as a family motor i think

my mate couldnt shift his p reg one in dark blue for £2800 and it wasnt a bad condition car, always wound him up that itlooked like it was a 318 with the m3 stuck on the boot.
to me they just dont look the part.....but could that be a good thing?
