e39 aircon not working

hi guys went out in wifes e39 today and the aircon dont work at all light comes on on switch can turn the temp down to 16 on both sides but it blows warm air out the vents i have a regass tool so put this on and needle is in the blue zone where it should be . electric fan in front the rad was seized managed to get it moving easy with wd it now spins is this fan for aircon or a extra cooling for rad . is there any realays for the aircon all fuses in boot look ok and the drive belt is on . what can i test now

If it stops working suddenly its usually down to loss of pressure. Have you looked to see if the compressor is turning?

i got wife to turn aircon on while i watched the compressor and it kicks in and starts to turn the fan on front of rad dont go round tho this was seized up but i managed to free it up but have not tried putting power to it will try that see if fan motor is ok later today and like i said my regas machine thing says the system is charged up hope i manage to get it working cos it will not be nice to drive in the summer without aircon.
