M60 V8
M52 single VANOS 6's - 2.5 (323/523) and 2.8 (possibly 2.0 too?)

Z3 isn't affected as it's the US version of the engine.

would actually give my left bollock for a z4 coupe, im suprised you dont see more cus if i had the money thats where i'd be spending it. They are really the only new bmw's that are proper cool, so devious looking! love it

I believe that the 3.0 N52 (130 / Z4 3.0si / 330, etc) is the same worldwide.
The previous M52 and the US S52 M engine were different in the NA market - the US S52 was more like a normal M52.

The Z4 Coupe has just gone out of production, as there's a new folding hardtop Z4 out. As per the Z3 and Z4 like mine, no official word on a Coupe version as yet, but, it may come along in time. Only something like 12000 coupes worldwide - under 1/10th of the Roadster, the fact that it only came along mid-life and in 3.0 and 3.2 M variants probably limited sales too. It certainly appealed to me as a semi-practical car (seeing as I rarely have more than 1 passenger, and it has a decent boot), as well as looks and performance. It's interesting that the TT is the opposite - far more coupes than convertibles.

I hold z3 coupes/ z4 coupes in the same regard as u would a z1 or alpina or something...

They are unusual and will probably worth a fortune in the future they have to be the most sensible buy if u were to buy a modern bmw depreciation wise etc and it will always be more bespoke than its rivals like the tt etc

They certainly are a bargain now - prices are really at a low, which is one of the reasons I've kept mine for 2 years as I bought it new.
There's only one BMW I'd currently consider changing mine to that I see as a replacement, the 135i (especially when the official BMW Performance tuning kit comes out - about 360bhp). It's more than a match for the M3 as standard though.

Pilsbury, how many z4m coupes were made? More than the z3m coupe?

If they are phasing, or have phased i should say, the z4m out its got the potential for a future classic I think.

Likewise the z3m, I can't see the prices getting any lower than they are now, £9500-£15,000 dependant on spec and engine.

About 50:50 spilt 3.0si : Z4 M Coupe I believe, about the same split as the 2.8/3.0 : Z3 M Coupe, but, there were a lot less Z3 Coupes. The 2.8 / 3.0 Z3 Coupe was LHD only, and the M Coupe was a very acquired taste...
In fact, until a couple of years ago, I'd never actually seen more one on the roads here, yet I know of 4 Z1's near me.
