The only I'm worried about is this.

Shame the wheels dont match the spare in the boot?? Are the seats right? they look more like comfort seats rather than sports ones? Nice motors though, a friend used to have one and then an M5 , he loved them.

That's the original TRX alloy in the spare well, isn't it? Better off without those...

What's up with the seat backs?

and "comfort" seats inspire confidence do they?

To be fair, it's an honest set of photos and I've seen a lot worse.

some M535is were specced with comfort seats, by their quite clearly insane first purchasers.

God knows what's happened to the seat backs, and yes, it has rust in some unfortunate places - it could benefit from a minor restoration before anyone does any driving in it, but it's going to be better than most E28s out there.

bearing in mind you have a 4dr and a cab and seemingly the only e30 wheel turned is of a 1/18th scale model I'd happily leave that where it is.
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!

The seat backs are very fragile on E28's and always fall off.

I've seen M635CSi's with comfort seats in them too..... the first purchasers must have been mad! Also, I have been looking at 635CSi's for a while, as soon as I see comfort seats, I go to the next ad lol.

Although I know of a set of Recaro Hi-backs in black for an E28 ;)

I'm sorry blitz. That actually doesn't look very nice at all. If the rot is that visible, imagine what it's like under the kit. The rear bumper has has an atrocious repair + no sports seats? You have to love polaris silver though

Sunroof's cool though. I've seen quite a few e28's with the glass roofs in them.

That stuff in the boot is the least of those worries, looks like a fairly solid one tbh from the pics although not a patch on mine  Front wings are not too much of a problem, they are available, easily changed and commonly rot there.... I would want to look a little deeper into the bottom of the front n/s wing where that is rusting as this can be more than superficial and front floor area can rot badly. The main other thing to check is the rear axle carrier area, that is a common killer ! There a probably better ones about for little money unless this is a giveaway and you have time on your hands.

The sport seats are exactly the same as E30 ones in construction, can't speak for the comforts though...

I know of a genuinely "mint" e28 535i manual that is possibly for sale around the 2k mark.
I bought my m5 off of a chap this week who owns, my e34 m5, an e39 m5 and this e28 535i.
Its not an M but it is in lovely condition with the only fault I could see being a little bit of surface rust on a corner of one of the chrome bumpers.
125k in grey and when he picked me up from the station in it I can confidently say it goes like a scalded cat. Much quicker than my old m535i.

I found it hard to not get a loan and buy both.
