All the technology behind these eco cars is excellent granted, but it's the way they're peddled out to the general public under the false premise that if you buy one you'll save the world. How long before their CO2 levels offset that of their production? And I mean every single component, from extracting the resources to putting it in in your ownership.
It's a step in the right direction, but using environmental issues to sell cars is ridiculous.

What rubbish, this is new technology, even if higher co2 levels in production can result in initial stages of these technologies (and I hope you're not referring here to the bull**** study with priuses and hummer which has been shown to be completely false and seems to be just perpetuated by hopeful journalists) in the long run technology needs to change so if you buy cars with these kinds of cars you are supporting r&d in greener cars and just might 'save the world'.GrindCulture wrote:All the technology behind these eco cars is excellent granted, but it's the way they're peddled out to the general public under the false premise that if you buy one you'll save the world. I do agree however that really to save the world not buying a new car every three years would help.
