I was gonna say flood damage but it just looks like it has been stood for ages and then probably hit by some agricultural machinery
The mileage is the only appealing thing about it but that is completely offset by the ridiculous sums you'd have to spend to get it a mint roadworthy car again

What a shame! I don't I've ever seen a BMW in such a sorry looking state!
It would make a fantastic resto project though to anyone who's got a few ££££ to spare

I just went to register on that copart site and to complete it you have to post utility bills and crap to them to prove address before you can bid on stuff.

If you are a registered Copart buyer or seller and still cannot log in.
* For buyers, the User Name is your Copart buyer number.
* For insurance companies, the User Name is your Copart seller access user ID.
* Passwords must be typed in lower-case letters.
* Some older browsers cannot handle the basic authentication process. The solution is to upgrade your browser.
Both Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer can be downloaded for free.

If that car covered only 14k miles before it was parked up... then what a waste! I can't imagine that it is worth doing up now, but then here I am posting on an E30 forum, who am I to judge?

Well I was thinking about it, thought it ended sooner so I left it, If I can get storige sorted out then I would like it for spears, maby repears, one day, But I also have my eye on a e12 too and other thing's lol
E23's demand a lot less pound's than say a e24, I have spent some pound's on my one lol, Replacing the shocks and spring with uprated one's was not cheep. Well worth it. IMO. Need's saving but most are not breave or silley enoth to do it.

I wouldn't mind trying for this, e23's are worth little though today so I'd be surprised if it made more than £50!
But I haven't got time to register and get the bits back to them in time? Anyone here have access to bidding?

this is an old e23 7 though. Everybody passes them over for the e28. Normally a good running car makes little more than £500 on ebay on a good day. Shame as they are good cars.

There are no bargains on Copart.
I have a bidder's card if anyone wants to bid, but there's nothing worth buying at sensible prices. There are also undisclosed reserve prices, you see the same cars appear week on week.

I just found that out. That e23 (that I do quite fancy) I have been told the reserve is sensilble for the car. But what is a sensible reserve on a car that when in a 100% good condition is worth no more than £500? Let alone one that is now a Cat C and needing 2 doors and a nose cone (which are now very hard to get hold of being a shark car).
I still would like the e23 though but I don't think its realistically worth in its current state any more than £75 to £100? The guy there said they'd keep putting it through an auctiob till it goes.
Cecotto, where abouts in the UK are you?

When the American company Copart took over Universal Auction everything went down hill. Not as good as they used to be. Personally I don't like bidding on salvage.

I don't trust Copart. It all went wrong when they took over universal auction.

Universal were only marginally better. They ran their own transport though and would deliver stuff depot to depot for £50, so I could buy at Sandy and get it delivered to Denny for £50.
Copart put a stop to that.
A lot of stuff goes to Eastern Europe where it will be rung up.
@ AndyG, I'm in Central Scotland, but up and down the road regularly if you need something.
