I have one so just fire up with your questions dude!
Look for rust on the bottom of the doors and also around the filler cap because thats a weak point of all E34s body. Here in Sweden they have also a problem with rust on the sills as well... :(
The engine is good, but look after service history because they are very expencive to repair (it is a twin head engine with 32 valves and four camshafts)
The fule ecconemy on the M60B30 isnt to bad but I have a 530 with a manual gearbox who help a lot with how much petrol it eat.

Other thing is also to check the front suspension because control arms are a weak pont on them.

Good luck with the viewing!

Its not an official sport model, just has some goodies on it. The only proper sports came in 535i and later on, 525i guises. To be honest, the 530 is a bit stuck in the middle of nowhere - not noticably quicker than a M50 engined 525 and fuel economy not much better than a 540. Unless you are on a tight budget and really want a V8, I would give it a miss and find a nice 525 or stretch to a 540.

I have driven both, and they are diffrent I would say, a lot diffrent!
The 525i is a good car, fast as well, but so diffrent than the 530 with the V8! When you drive along with the 530 is so much better in every detail. It pulls like a train, it have the V8 sound and it is quicker than a 525 as well!
The 530 is lower on fuel as well, remember that the 540 have 286 bhp and that makes a lot when it comes to fuel.

IMO its too expensive.. a chap on the 5 forum sold a 6 speed 540i last week for a grand; admitedly it had done more miles but you are talking about a very desirable model. I bought my 525i Sport in Avus blue for 600.... e34s are peanuts at the moment.

Probably why no-one has bid on it...

Some come with sport seats. You can also get 2nd hand sports seats for peanuts.
