Been offered a compact thats had heavy rear damage, only thing I want out of it is the interior seen as its cream with black piping.Basicaly want to put it into my mums compact which has low mileage etc,the problem is the drivers seat has twisted on the back rest. Its twisted towards the back of the car,not sure how but its happened from the collision. The owner of the car is a friend so I know this was not a previous fault and he is willing to give me the whole car for peanuts.
What I need to know is can it be straightend or will it need a new seat and re-trim it off of the broken one.The one I got my mum is a m reg and the damaged one is a w reg.
Thanks for any advice.
Twisted seat.

The e36 seats all strip down easily. I know the seat base is only just a cushion pushed into place and held down with moulded clips (you'll see what I mean once you take it apart). Not so sure about the back rest but I'd be surprised if its much more involved than the base.
Go for it plus get a complete seat from the breakers. Strip this one to see where you are then reassemble with the damaged seats covers.
