I'm quite tempted but 191,ooo miles! Plus I bet it doesn't have air con and E36 M3s are faster and cheaper.

Anyone know if you can get parts for the engine - at 191k its going to need a rebuild at somepoint?

Anyone know how it would drive? I'm thinking of using it everyday.

The AC Schnitzer badge on the bonnet looks so tacky.

The badge should be on the front grille and boot lid only.

If it is a genuine S3 the side stripes are missing also

Agree with ZB, plus needs a pic of underbonnet area to show the additional S3 items/stickers etc..

Parts are still available from ACS in Germany plus Rossiters are now the authorised ACS importer again, so they'd be the first port of call.

I don't think thats a S3. S3's were based on the M3 and had wider arches. And that advert is full of nonsense. Are they trying to make out that this car was a competition car?

The "advert" is an article from TBMW. And yes, if you read it you will see that the car did, apparently, compete in a road rally; the Tasmanian Targa Rally, Australia. In fact it won its class and finished 3rd overall.

The car predates the E36 m3 (being from '91). But I don't know if it should be called an S3.

Do people have any evidence that this isn't true? Seems like a fairly elaborate scam otherwise.

My best guess is that any car entering a Rally would have a roll cage fitted. Given that there isn't one makes me suspicious about this cars actual provenance. i.e is this the same car or another 325 with ACS bits

Either way its a very high mileage car and very expensive. A lower mileage E36 M3 Evo is on that site for less and thats the one Id buy

the S3 was for the 3 series range, the s3 sport was based on the m3

that could be an s3 though, just need some better pics to clarify.
