e36 vs e34 handling?

similar to my other thread but just wondering what peoples views are of this question as want another bmw for track use and with so many cheap ones about just wanna hear lots of experiances in order to make my mind up!

the e34 is going to weigh like a elephant, its a 5 series executive tourer... and weight is everything on a track.

stripped out e36 would be my bet...

I had a 535i Sport which stuck to the track like Glue (had Bilstein Suspension)and was getting late 1 minute 30's ( car was full road condition not stripped out) around Donnington tried a mates 328i coupe (e36) and was getting late 1 minute 20's so go for the E36

E34's need short Bilsteins, decent springs and Sport anti roll bars. The E36 is a LOT better.

e36 is much better round a track. E34 is great fun for the dosh though and skids nicely.

Although I should be biased, go for the E36 it should always be better !!
