E34 seat belt removal?

Does anybody know how to remove the front seat belts from comfort seats in an e34? Me and my dad are upgrading them to leather sports seats and we cant see how to get the seat belt off from where it attaches to the seat. Its a torx bolt.... but you cant get to it! Anybody help me before my dad kills me? Cheers guys!

Right, managed to get to the bolt by removing the subframe but now the bolt wont come out

so now were *hopefully* just going to swap the subframes over because according to the etk the subframes should be the same

E30 seats are so much easier to sort out!

jack up the height adjuster to the top and undo it with a spanner from the inside.really easy.no need to remove anything.

Ive always done it with a socket and extension, raise the seat, slide it back and tilt it forward

cheers guys! We had to change the subframes on the drivers seat beacuse the bolt would not come undone at all!! Will try that though on the passanger seat
