im looking at a 535 sport auto, could anyone tell me what the story is with changing this to manual, is there a certain 535 gearbox that will fit or will one from say a 520 or 525.il have about 400-500 pounds to get a gearbox and fit it. does this sound reasonable. also would your average auto be better kept than your average manual, just a little thought to help me justify this car. any help would be hugely appreciated.

525i M50 box won't fit. 
The box you need is either a 535i or six cylinder 530i.

I have a manual 535 breaking with lsd and all you need for the conversion, pedal box etc.... 
but no gearbox
