First of all this is not meant to be a for sale thread!
I am currently running around in an N plate 525iX that my dad has owned from new, the MOT runs out at the end of October. I had it tested the other day to see what it needed - bottom ball joints and front tyres. As they are specific to the iX they can only be had from BMW and will cost around £138 each side with my discount as it is the whole arm. I don't really want to spend any money on this car as it was only ever a stopgap.
I have rung quarry motors and they have offered £100 for it as they already have quite a few in, is there any where else you can suggest, I don't really want to be bothered with Ebay and Autotrader, having just sold my last car it was a real hassle!
Any suggestions much appreciated!

I am tempted with ebay, but to be honest I really can't deal with all the timewasters again after just selling a car!

If quarry have a few in, why not buy used suspension arms from them? A pair of super budget remoulds and it would get through an mot
