Going to look at a mates 328 coupe tomorrow. All i know is its black, has full bmw service history, is a manual, has balck leather, has done 160,000 miles and the bodywork is a little scruffy. He is asking £850 which means he'll take £750. It needs tidying up which isnt a problem as im a paint sprayer but what should i be looking for on an E36? I know they rust a bit here and there. Anything to look out for when i take it out for a spin? When do the cambelts need doing? ANy advice generally?

Im looking to buy it, use it for a month or two, tidy and then sell.
cheers

went to look at it and its fine just a bit scruffy. I would have to paint the passenger door(rust), drivers rear quarter (scratch) and the wheels so i offered £650 for it
