E23 TRX Wheels?

I've got some articles to prepare for a mag over here about abandonned cars, and I've come across a rather dilapidated E23.



I've done plenty of Wikipedia'ing, and nosing around the internet, but does anyone know if the wheels on this car are TRX's? I didn't think to check when I took the photos and now the car is a 20minute drive away so I can't be arsed to go back and look again.

Also, any other info on E23s would be appreciated. Are they really as bad as Im led to believe? You can read the pre-edited (ie, rubbish versions) of the articles online at my blog (click)

They are 15 inch standard fit alloys from an E32 and E34. 225 section regular tyres.

E23's were sort of okay 20 years ago, now they're an old turd waiting to go wrong. That one needs to be dropped into a foundry.

I think they are still good old ladies, but i would touch anything but the best spec 735i. They are suprizingly fast and the handling in petty good too as long as yoy aint scared of a little bodyroll.

Cheers for the info Andy, I read what you wrote about them earlier on the forum. I have no idea what engine is in this one, but it's an auto so there's even less going for it, and all the badges have been pulled off the back so I have no idea what's under the bonnet without popping it myself, which might attract unwarranted attention.

This one's well beyond repair though, no matter what lump is in there.
