I've been driving for one year this month (in a couple of days)

I had two cars with two different policies

One has run its course and I've cancelled the renewal as the car has gone so I assume I had a years no claims as I didn't make any claims.

Now I have a new policy taken out a few months after this one and is due to run out in october some when.

My question is, I've been driving for one year and had two policies running concurrently, can I use BOTH ncd and have two years? Or am I allowed only one year bearing in mind I would of only been driving a year and a bit when my policy runs out.

The extra years makes it cheaper when I do quotes!

AFAIK you can only gain 1 years NCB per year no matter how many policies you have running. It has always been this way and a quick call to one of your chosen insurance companies will confirm this.

You may also only use your NCB on one car at a time ( though on a multi car policy or as a second car some companies may offer to match your NCB on a second or even third car to get your business. )

The problem with the tinternet is no one phones around these days, you will get a better deal on the phone than the net especially if you play companies off one another, phone comapny B tell them company B were cheaper then phone A again and ask them to beat company B. Can't do that on the net!

Nope... definitely not sadly. Same for using the same NCD on two cars at the same time; they only let you use it on one unfortunately
