What gas will this be running? Anyway to tell? Its a '92 735i. Looking at getting it freshly gassed for the summer

Just for is to p1ss out of a holed condenser............ 
Probably still running Freon but you can get 'universal' gas.

Air con works, just dont think it will have been gassed in a loooong time
Will BMW be able to do it? (Not a clue about Aircon, 1st car in near 7 years of driving that has had it..)

Yes BMW can do it for sure, or you can go to your nearest AirCond supplyer and they will regas your car!

Dan,
Have a look at the fill ports on the pipework. If they have red & blue caps, then it's running r134a. If it still has old schrader (wheel valve) style valves, then it's still on r12.
