Vauxhall seem to have superb rustproofing compared to how they used to be we've had an 03 astra and now a 55 plate vectra both have absolutely zero rust. The only bit of the astra that rusted was the original rear box and even that was pretty strong - despite it shedding layer after layer like peeling an onion it was still gas tight and passed every MOTAndyboy wrote:Both the 2004 Laguna and 2004 Zafira I had custody of were 100% rust free, brake pipes included.

the thing is, the e46 is a better car in every respect to the e36. All its weak points were addressed. So just how are they bad?
Jonb you must be on drugs as the e46 M3 is superb car with a council image now.
I'd rather walk or cycle than drive a laguna or zafira - everett you don't even have 7 kids so wtf would you have one?

As for the m3, I personally didnt find them that special but some things did impress me about them. The steering was never unsettled or uncorrupted by bumps in the road, so no shimmy or shake through the steering wheel even when hitting a slight pothole while going around a corner. They still look great also. The lack of any torque annoyed me greatly, and they never felt that quick due to the liner nature. And why cant bmw ever make a comfortable sport seat?

PS that 525i Scott and I bought from you, the engine is now residing in my new identical Touring

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
