How can you not like this .... This just oooozes class and sophistication :-)

Silverstone Edition E46 M3s there were only 50 made especially for UK. Is BMW Individual vehicle and they usually come quite highly specced. Available in Manual or SMGII.

Btw use "Autosol" on your exhausts makes them extra shiny and apparently only takes 5 minutes. I got photographs from the guy that recommended them and his exhausts look amazing

My exhaust tips are dented and fooked. No amount of autosol will make them nice.

I already have autosol btw.

If you think an e46 m3 oozes class and sophistication you are more of a spastic than I ever thought.

Cracking looking chariot Barry, keep up the good work!

My 330Ci sport only gets 21mpg, but I only do 70 miles a week in it so I don't notice the fuel cost really.

Heres a question, why didn't BMW ever facelift the e46 M3?

They did. Rear lights are LED and numerous other small changes but they kept the old lights at the front I guess due to cost and the fact it would not look right with a face lifted front end.

I generally get 14mpg around London when I do sometimes drive it. IMO is rubbish so I mean not fun to drive in London. During a recent trip to Tewkesbury was getting 20mpg. Really is fantastic cross country. Mine is a the higher end over 35k now.

Looks so much nicer with the E46 M3 front end.
They made numerous changes over the lifetime to specification etc most is very minor.
I think they kept the old front end to save costs and possibly not to annoy old E46 M3 owners, and maybe residuals
Tbh traditionally when BMW do facelifts rear end may receive very minor revisions such as lights etc and front end very minor updates (if at all)

The updates are detailed in here for all BMW M models

This is possibly one of the best updates -
-Phoenix Yellow metallic paint discontinued (3/05)
The oil pump was changed/modded IIRC? Also some have a gauze in the oil drain holes on the head

So today i finished of a tank of V power so thats 62 litres and when i say finished off it was touch and go getting to the Shell petrol station. :o

Image

So that was a distance of 273.6 miles (prob could have gone a bit further but was chancing it and did about 3 miles at ---- on the cluster and 0 litres on the monitor) covered on a mix of A and B roads with a little bit of fast motorway use and i dont hang about when the chance arises.

So using this calculator,

http://www.calculate-mpg.co.uk/index.php?intro=known

I got 20.06 MPG, pretty close to the cars 20.3 MPG read out, at a cost of 31.48 pence per mile at £1.39.9 per litre.

Not too shabby for a car that will seat 4 in comfort, hit 175 MPH, 60 in 4.8 seconds and lap the 'ring in 8.22 min. :)

I am on V32 but its not the software that give that info (and much more!), its a device called an intravee.

A must for anyone with this type of monitor.

And revs to 8000rpm and Winner of the International Engine of the Year Awards in the 3-4 Litre category for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 beating the likes of the Porsche 911 engines (Carrera, Turbo) and Ferrari 360 Modena engines and producing an impressive (by 2001 standards) 105 bhp per litre

Btw doesn't running fuel that low damage fuel pump or draw dirt as dirt sits in bottom of fuel tank and goes into the engine ?

Facebook friend wrote:May have changed but I hit a huge pothole in early January this year, reported it, made a claim, had to send in copy of my driving license, insurance MOT, tax disc, I sent in about 20 photos with width, depth makings road positioning the lot, even had photos of the car at ATS having wheels and tyres changed.
It doesn't go on when someone first reports it, but when the council get off of there arses and think that it's bad enough that it needs repairing, then they have 28 days to repair it.
For mine they said it was examined on Christmas eve last year and was put down for repair, then it was repaired on the 28th day after that inspection, so they stated that they had repaired within their 28 days and fulfilled their obligation, and they were not at fault and would pay no compensation.
I did the whole information act thing, And was sent all the paperwork reports etc all with the there dates nicely in place.
I sent another letter stating that I would be going further with this and I'll take it to court, then I got a phone call from the council telling me that it would be a waste of time and money because the courts would be on there side and I would get nowhere with it...
And all of this was over a 4-5 month period.
Good luck
I will try but there's not much hope!

The E30 would have laughed at that pot hole!

I dont really ever use winters to be honest but i may get some 18's and chuck some cheaper tyres on.
