The car they rolled was an old E12 based turd - freeze frame and you can see the old side loader diff.Blitz wrote:They used a M6 for the chase and the crash scene they used an older non M E24.stew316i wrote:dammwatching lethal weapon 2 they just wrecked a nice one

Ive just fitted some new Sachs has dampers and H&R's on mine, sits nose down at the moment, meet to re fit everything now and put some miles on it and see how it settles
First impressions are that it rides well.

I did sort out the groovy strip above the bumper

Car will be going to a local zoner for a small repair inside just behind the splash gaurd on the front inner arch, and a small section of the passenger side cill will need attention, i went at the car with a bigger screwdriver during the weekends autopsy
And if anyones got any pics of how the hinges/springs/ hold up the bootlid can you post em up ta.

The problem with the bootlid springs is usually a broken hinge. There's a lever that attaches to the hinge and the spring hooks into. It breaks. It needs a new - or s/h - hinge.
The "springs" are Z shaped rod that run the full width of the car. Refitting them requires a phenomenally strong vertically challenged person in the boot.

Blimey i thought i was proper sick when i gave you what i did Peter, but 300 sovs
It would be cool Kos if you could post up a couple of pics, and thanks for the info Boyd, i do still have those springs in the boot, the hinges on each side are cable tied together for some reason.
I presume also that the rubber strip that runs along the top of the rear bumper is held in with clips, its pretty mint behind there which is handy
How scary is it removing various trim parts looking for rust.
Thanks for all the comments and advice
Burger, pizza doughnut incoming Peter.
