A few hundred and a fair bit of time and effort. All new cylinders for clutch and brakes. New ignition system through-out. Exhaust, etc etc. That's partly why I'm not fussed about selling it. I advertised on impulse when I saw the e12.
Thanks for the positive comments about my 323. It's a labour of love. I'd love an e30 M3 but being on disability means I'm never likely to afford one. The e21 suits me down to the ground and they are great fun to drive. Especially now it has a bit more go thanks to a 2.5 conversion. Fact is, I like all BMW's and would rather support other models than find ways to diss them.

Do you mean the accident I was in? If I'm honest, I was partially to blame and I have just tried to concentrate on learning to walk again ever since.
It was quite a crash though...

Also, I've decided to keep the 316 and have bought a towbar and Weber carb instead. We only have a small van for staying in Cornwall and with all the work that's been done on the 316 it makes sense to keep it.
I'm a bit surprised about some of the comments that have been made on here about ''other forums''. I know that people have their own ideas about why they like specific models but it would be a shame if other models didn't create interest too. Still, it takes all sorts I guess.

My first 323i (Polaris silver T reg) had one of those. It was a '78 car with non working factory air con, 4 speed gearbox, LSD, Recaros and a lot of underbody rot. The engine was very piston-slappy but it went like f*ck.Hoobs wrote:It's fun hunting for rare bits like 30 year old Motorsport ''ducktail'' spoilers to!![]()

I'd love an E21 one day.
Dickster on here has a 2002 touring.
I'd be up for pimping that thing up!
