Its a pretty good trim, no rips or tears. Bit grubby in places but its complete and the drivers seat has only minor wear id say. The donor car had stood some years but had ony covered 115k which is low milege id say these days for an old M5 as they tend to clock up the mileges more than most.

I can remove my lot at my pleasure as i'm not collecting the carpet for a week or two yet.

I've got rear door blinds to fit and also a heated rear seats kit, which i've been saving for a trim thats worth it. This is it!

Would be nice to heat up the front seats and get some lumbar support to make it a fully optioned trim

Anyone changed the sunroof trim panel? The headlining was easy compared to an e30!

Is the E34 sunroof trim set up like the E36 or the E30?

From what I remember the sunroof lining pane clips at the back to the sunroof sliding mech with two black plastic hook type clips.

Pretty sure you slide the roof back then pull the headliner part forward to unclip.

I've got a vibration under braking coming through the steeringwheel. It comes and goes and often a firmer push of the pedal gets rid of it.

I took a front rim off today and took the caliper off and pads out and gave the pedal a few pushes. Now they are 4 pot calipers on the front and all the pistons where moving out at different rates/distance. So they aren't all working together. This would cause a vibration? As say sometimes i'd only have 2 or 3 pistons pushing on the pads.

I pulled all the dust seals back and they are in good condition and i couldn't see an corrosion on any of them.

So my question is should all 4 pots clamp the pads at the same time?! i reckon so.

Under proper clamping force they should all do the same. Pistons that don't exert the same pressure would result in brakes pulling to one side. E34's are a bastard for brake/steering wobble. Replacing arms and bushes in pairs and a process of elimination is the way to go. Bushes can look fine but be just worn enough to cause issues.

The main fix I find for the shakey wheel is replacing the upper arm bushes with purple power flex and dropping an extra washer in. 750i bushes are ok, they lasted me over 50k miles but the price trebled when I went for a second set, hence the power flex

I also had a wobble caused by the brake piston sticking, single piston callipers though, just swapped it as I had piles of E34 scrappers at the time :D

Well funny you say that the entire front end is poly bushed with the purple bushes. The ball joint gaiter is split on the lower arm but there is zero play i can detect.

So a washer on the upper arm bush? there is a bit of play on the drivers side one i'd say even tho its poly. I've not checked the passenger side yet.

I get no other wobbles from her, no 55mph shimmy none of that it drives well.

I'm wondering about getting the 4 pit refurbed, it won't hurt as they look great under the M paras

Yes, the bushes and single washer is not enough you need one each side, I still had a wobble after fitting, then realised the slack in the mounting. E30 rear beam bush washers fit perfectly :)
