Any decent E36 is worth £700 with a full MOT.

Decent being the operative word. This is an e36-lite!!

Much like lite beer. Says beer on it but you know it's really for girls or men of hair straightening persuasion.

Ball joint on mine was about 13 quid for the parts. Is it easy to change?

No it's an absolute tw*t without the puller. It's easier to change the complete wishbone but as it's an advis and not a fail I might not bother. The car drives okay and it's the price of a decent mountain bike................

What a result. Whats it owe you all in? At £700 it should fly off the drive. Ours went quite quickly at £850.

Owes me about £200 all in I think. Virtually all the bits I used (front legs, rear exhaust, wheels and tyres etc) were off another car I broke a month ago. MOT was £40 and the bits to do the engine were about £60.

Bloody hell, looks like I do price my cars too high! Having said that, I've seen stolen rec and damaged repairables go for over £500 so any 36 with a years ticket has to worth 30 grand surely

True. They do 80 mpg up there too, i.e twice what an E30 320i can manage. :D

If anything auction prices in Scotland are much more expensive than down here in civilisation. I went to BCA in Edinburgh twice, absolutely crazy prices. I guess most things are worth more once fed to a deprived and needy culture.

Aye Laddie. You'll need to speak to Angus McNoo for a trade in valuation tho.

Best nip down the "1200 cars a week" auctions and pick up another couple of E46's then!

Indeed! It was the very fist RHD B9 3.5 built. I bought it from a mate of Pacerpete's as an 'almost finished' project. It had been welded and painted (outer sills, o's'f wing) and was on the road and MOT'd. I added the stripes and spent 2 weeks replacing crap bits of trim from a 1987 520i Lux as well as Waxoyling it and fitting some better tyres. By the time I finished it it looked superb and really went well. I sold it in 2005 to a guy up near manchester who sold it again to a guy down south. That car really went well.
Got the pic you took?

Not really, I don't really buy the same thing twice. As long as it's being used and looked after.

A shame it's been dechromed - the stainless door trims were really perfect on this and so were the rear lights.

Absolutely. Anyone reckon the tin worm would be an issue or is it fixable?
