And a shitload more torque and older suspension design than an e30, so I'd have said so!

E12 is more 'gentleman's sporting saloon',as apposed to pony and trap's 'drift cock machine'...

1,410 built, according to this:
http://www.classicandperformancecar.com ... /?see=3943

Performance about equal to a 325i, and to answer pon'y earlier question, was "offered with an LSD", though whether they all had one is debateable - it was probably an expensive option.

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Having driven one of these "enthusiastically" in the pi ssing rain I was mightly impressed at how "on the edge" fun they are!

Dan Norris aka ML's owner is after a suitable one but the philistine doesn't like henna!

Proper rust bucket :D

I have rescued it but not to restore as its to far gone, instead will be used as spares car for the henna red m535 I have tucked away.

1 previous owner with 77k

This pic was taken in 2010 the day I picked it up, its now been stripped down ready for welding and then paint.

Now this E12 was bought by the old chap back in 1986 but hardly used saying was laid up not long after he had bought it.

It was buried in bushes for a number of years which has taken its toll on the poor thing :(

Oh, to have the luxury of enough land and money to be able to afford to be such a wastrel!

Well done for rescuing it for spares. 8)

The 16v Astra GTE needs saving - they're worth good money now.

I very nearly bought one for £500 about 2 years ago, I wasn't brave enough to tackle the welding though 8O

My mate is restoring a MK1 GTE at the min. He's fooking brave!

I've had a couple of Novas and built a few XE engines, yes I have issues.

Audi 80 by the looks of it buried! Hate seeing cars like this! Too much money and land for the owner but I wish I had kept every car I had let go for scrap money! And I bet most on here would think the same

It is a period setup but not had a look as to what it actually is, I was more interested in the e12 itself making sure it had all its trinkets still attached to it lol

Found the original m535 supplement booklet in glovebox which was a bonus :) even still had its 1980s v5

Will be giving it a quick jet down tomorrow/free of the brakes.

Highbacks look to be in half decent condition and exactly same as what I have in the other e12 so passenger seat will be used to mint the others interior.

Nobby the car buried in bushes was an Audi estate not sure if it was Audi 80 or 100 so well spotted.

The Astra GTE was interesting but the old man said it belonged to his son and had been sitting there for past 4-5 years after he had a prang in it while drunk same goes for the Evo 1.

Old man was in the trade many years ago and still working on cars to this day, most the cars he had there had come as trade in's so he said.

He had a real old 1933 motor inside all stripped out (not sure what it was) along with a triumph stag and another 300zx next to it.

Apparently he had scrapped around 70 cars recently  I did ask if there was any old BMW's lol but more 80's Fords and Jap scrap.
