If your idea of impressive is looking like a proton with a max power body kit the you are easily pleased.Rodderz wrote:I still don't think you have an argument! My Subaru is more impressive looking than * I tried to use text speak but the text speak filter stopped me * series hatch! Fact!
Even the motoring press say the 135M is a pig to look at!
How old are you 50 or 15?

Tax deductable.. and the company take the depreciation!:)pacerpete wrote:Rodderz wrote:Barry, you've changed your tune, or not read my earlier post correctly!??
I love the 1M, but not in that colour though.
I would have looked at a 1M and an RS3 when I bought the Subaru, but they would have both cost me an extra £50 a week out of my pay packet though.. so a no brainer!
£50 a week sounds like a deal compared to the depreciation that will be in store for a turd that was so unloved here in the UK that Subaru gave up trying !

That was never mentioned in any of the press release or features on the car.

I've been looking at a 118D and am rather tempted by one but was a little put off when people were saying they have the engines troubles. Reading your posts in this topic and also the topic on the 47 bss325i, BMW have effectively done a recall and if it hasn't been sorted it's possible to take the car to them for them to do FOC as part of it?

BMW will only do something IF the engine is making excessive noise from the timing chain area and it is reported by a customer.
If the car has a BMW warranty of some kind, be it manufacturers, AUC or insured then it will get repaired with all costs covered.
If the car is out of the warranty period and the fault is confirmed then a BMW dealer can submit a goodwill claim but the car would really need FBMWSH and sub 100k to stand a chance of a claim being accepted. In some cases a good will claim will result in 100% contribution on the parts and 100% contribution on the labour but the initial diagnosis normally has to be paid for for by the customer.
