Where exactly is this ccv pipe?also theres a humming noise that continues for ages from under the bonnet when the engines switched Off,even with the key removed?

Follow the breather pipe from the top front of the rocker cover down under the inlet manifold, it will lead to the CCV, it will sometimes make a hissing noise, and you can also feel the air leak if it is at fault.
