Can anyone on here know much about the difference between the SMGII and SSG (as found in very late 330s)?
Are these at all related in terms of mechanical components or software?

Yeah i remember when the BMW E46 3 Series Coupes were launched i even have an original 323/328 brochure. I thought they were the real deal they came out when i was a little nipper in 6th Form and there were hardly any about on the road. They had a real class about them. I thought the 330s back then were the real deal too.

It was only a matter of time before chavs/bruvs/essex boys and those sort all have a BMW E46 as nice a car as it is. I seen a very distateful E46 3 Series Coupe in this part of London which was so distastefully modified to look like a E46 M3 Coupe with VERY BADLY fitted front spoiler etc that i can see the panel gaps. I was so digusted i even took a few photos and put it on bookface.

SMG 11 was developed by Siemens and is/was quite reliable, SSG is the Magnetti Marelli Alfa Selespeed system rehashed to fit an E46 and it's a bit shit as you'd expect. Probably best avoided.

Heading?! Have you been on e46zone.net recently? :)
Much like the e30 which has had that problem for well over 10 years. :)
