I have mate. I also here the 46 compact with it's z arm rear is a very good handling car.

It's all about the $$$ though. I think a Strocker 3.0lt M5x with a re map would be best for track really. Keep the weight down. We will see.

Ive also heard about the 46 compact rear set up being better than the 36.
If budgets tight you could always fit a b30 out of an e46 330i, with 230 odd bhp out the box, not sure if they can be 'tuned' though with a remap cams etc...
