You should try Barry, I have made successful claims in the past, the councils used to paint a line around the pothole, this served two purposes, first to highlight it to driveurs and also to indicate they knew about it, they would cite this if you tried to claim and use it to get out of paying, if there was no lines I would say you have a claim.

If it's been reported and they are aware of it but there are no lines to mark it, you have chance.
It also depends of the highways agency or a local authority is responsible for the section of road. Highways agency seems to be harder to claim against

I would say, by your standards, that amount of surface rust visible is shockingbss325i wrote:Had the car up on the ramp today for a general check over. One of the diff output seals is starting to weep to that will be tackled when I do an inspection 1 in a couple of thousand miles.
More importantly, continual monitoring of the notorious boot floor cracking,
Still perfect with 91k up.

Bah! It's a daily dragger!
Only surface rust on the suspension components, not the floor.

Time for a bit of an overdue update.
Last month saw me click over 93k and about 5k since the oil service/10k since the last inspection 2 so it was time for an inspection 1.
Also some new wiper blades and drive belts were needed.
Also regassed the A/C.

So a pile of parts was ordered from BMW and ECP and i set to.....

Going through the valve clearances 10k since they were last done, none of them were out!
Last week i finally got round to fitting a cutters favourite mod, the PBMW brake kit with Dino's (a cutter member) brackets and custom goodridge brake hoses.
So we have gone from 325mm discs and single piston callipers to 345mm CSL discs and 6 pot brembos.
The beauty of this brake upgrade is the consumable parts such as the pads and discs can be had from any BMW dealer or ECP same or next day, no waiting for specialist parts like with AP kits for example.

As you can see the old brakes were toast!

Wheels are in dire need of a refurb!

Car now sold!
Needed to sell as impending house purchase meant it had to go and it will be sorely missed as its been a great car.
Sold the BMWP brakes to one cutter and the genuine CSL's to another so put some 18's on with matching conti's prior to sale.
Last pic before it left.

Needed a cheap daily for the next few months until the house purchase is sorted so i bought this from my work which was a loan car!

An Alpina B3 3.0 Switchtronic in need of TLC.

This M3 was nice. Did you not have a custom sound system wiring made for it ?

I had a plug made so I could replace the HK amp with any amp of my choice and not have to cut any of the OEM loom.
I still have that along with a modded BM54 with two pre outs and upgraded internals, an alpina DSP and the custom plug I had made.
This can all be used with any E46 with Nav and HiFi or HK.
