Yes and no.

New ones are superb - remember TRXs were standard fit on Ferrari, Jaguar and the 158 mph M635CSi - but they're about £350 or so each. So if you don't know that the tyres were manufactured in the last 3 years or so, I'd stay clear.

The tyres are worn and will need replacing, the metrics can sit in a corner of the garage for a while.

Im happy with the Alpinas, but i also have some BBS style Fives that need a refurb if i fancy a change.

Fine. No noticeable difference over 16s IMO and 17" Alpinas or Style 5s are the way to go. They look good too on 18s, but they're a bit of a harsh ride.

i'm on 17's at the moment with new sachs gas dampers and H&R's

first impression is that it rides nice but i've not driven it more than 10 miles.

the TRX GT's are a good tyre when new, the old TRX's can become very hard and dangerous

From the dealer, it's called a body side or something and it's huge, horrendously expensive and pretty much useless - unless you're building a body from scratch in the factory.

Walloth and Nesch list them, but the last time I asked, they didn't have any and weren't expecting to get them in again.

It's a DIY job I think. I've cut them out in the past to use as a profile and made outer repair sections. They're also surprisingly thick metal - where the metal still exists.

I've one here for restoration just now where the "restorer" has used an E28 repair sill - but not modified it in any way other than covering it in silicone. Not recommended.

About £500 a side for inner and outers and need to be cut to fit as repair panels.

The inner is easily fabricated. The outer is relatively easy to make. Certainly not £500 worth.

Chris, unless it is rooted, you are much better off getting a local repair done. I have a mustard geyser up here but obviously that is not exactly up your passage :)

Chris - it looks very similar to a Piranha / Sparkrite (can't remember what make it was) 'touch' key fob I had for an immobiliser on my car in the early 90's.

I don't recognise the logo on that one though. Hopefully an expert will be along soon :D

Meta immobiliser fob...you should have a spot in the dash, where you pop this in to disarm the immobiliser.
