I love Total BMW magazine, Much better than the BMW Car magazine who looks like they want to sell the boring stuff to our dads with beemers. And I love every article Everett have made!

I was a guy with Alfa Romeo Virus in my blod who was running around my body to kill all the cash I was earning from my work. One day at Borders in Glasgow I made a plan to buy this bad magazine called Total BMW to see if I could manange to kill my Alfa Virus. After two issues of TBMW I could feel something was happend, I could see that suddenly a sun was shining and I so a hope in the tunell. So today I have an E30 316 like you Andboy and it makes me feel happy in the same way as my old GTV....
I have always liked the article Mr. Everett have vritten, and because Im Norwegian I dont look for spelling and gramar becuse English is a rellative new language for me.
And I can garantee that I will buy the next issue of TBMW matthehat17, who is so far my favorite magazine.
So I still hope that I can buy TBMW in the future to.

Take care guys and good luck!

Well i must admit i've never bought a copy cause i'm a lot more into the performance and modded side of things and my cars have reflected that. It's only since i toned things down with te Msport that i've started to look at the more subtle mags. It's sad to see any company fold with job losses and stuff, but the truth of the matter is, the market simply isn't big enough to support 3 mags in the BMW scene. It's all very well people loving the mag, but at the end of the day it's a business and it's survival depends on sales just like any business and with 3 mags catering for such a small market, it was always going to be one of them taking losses or going out of circulation :(

When's the last issue? I'll have to buy that to be a part of history

For that, I will have your babies! :D Thanks.

I used do have a severe Alfa ilness too - mainly Alfasuds and all the good old rear drive stuff like the 75, Aletta GTV Coupes and stuff. But as they all rotted away (not the the 75's - they're pretty good) and were replaced by shite like the 33 and 155 I lost interest and moved into BMW's about ten years ago, although I had my first BMW (a 1977 320 Auto four cyl) in 1989. What got me into BMW's? A 1982 Y plate 525i E28 in doom blue with the big stainless wheeltrims that looked like frying pan lids. It had a bashed in wing and it was Ԛ£350 in October 1996. I bought a wing from ECP, had it painted and smoked around in the old beast. I just loved it and never looked back - certainly never owned another Alfa until this year - a 40 quid Ebay 164 shitbox for 'Ring abuse.

Its a shame that total will be no more.I have bought every single copy since it started, much prefer it to PBMW mag as they feature old skool bmws instead of pimped up crap that looks like its been driven through halfords shop window with every single piece of stick on crap stuck to it !
WHen is it expected to finish ?

I was only kidding mate :D

I speak to Louise a lot and she's taking the mag away from what you've just decribed mate. I know she's serious cause she wouldnt feature my ex mates car. It's the purple E36 cab with the white leather and lambo doors that was at Gaydon. The car has won best of Show at every show it's been to this year, but she said it was too Max Power for what she's trying to do. I actually think PBMW will get better now cause she's not afraid to ask and take openions on board and she's also at most of the shows and meets talking to people and i really like Iain Curry, but he never done that. :(

Have to agree with that - seems to be the case. Hopefully they can steer the UK BMW scene along some of the same lines as the VW scene.

PVW is a great mag and if PBMW could get near it would be awesome.

I did speak to Matt at Castle Combe about the photography, I know you need some what I call arty pics but what I would like to see is at least one front and rear 3/4 pic. Why have an out of focus close up of a gear knob? Olso if the writer is telling us about the leater interiour then show us a good clear pic. Of course we need the tech write up etc but a picture speaks a thousand words. I will miss it if it goes.

Que Dominitry for the pics then

a job doing what exactly? are there many opportunities for Sid James impersonators? :P

back on topic, i'll be really sad to see TBMW go, it's the only magazine i've bought regularly for about 5 years  it had a good mix of stuff, plenty of old-skool which is what i'm into (and why i rarely buy bmw car) and tech articles and just a good read really, despite a few spelin misstayks etc  yes i noticed them ALL lol, and it was just nice to read a mag staffed by e28 fans! winkeye

i too have dismissed PBMW as four-pot-e36-flavoured-lexus-lighted chav shit, but to back up what booty said, it seems to be getting better! i last bought a copy to read when i was on holiday in ireland, i think it was the august or september ish with the blue turbo m3 and scot player's 325 in, and it was a pretty good read. i might just buy another, and see if it can fill the gap left now my favourite mag is dead :-x

evo's an excellent publication agreed, but it seems to be aimed at the minted. i don't really give a toss about ferraris or brand new hot hatches or super duper track elises (yawn)

i second the evo comment its a good mag but i aint minted and hot hatches and elises do not exite me in the slightest and ferraris are well out of my reach so not a mag really aimed at me!!! R.I.P TBMW
