Sorry guys I know this the e30 zone....but I thought someone might be able to help.
A 316 e46 had a front end damage, after the repairs it now doesn't start.
I'm thinking is the fuel being cut off!!!(fuel cut off switch...I don't know its location)
But the engine doesn't even turn.
Am I totally off track?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

was the airbag triggered in the collision??

if it was then i believ you have to have it all reset by bmw etc

this may also be the case with the car not starting

I've moved this one to a more appropriate section 8)

If it won't even crank, it sounds more like an EWS problem than a fuel cutoff issue.

Check the battery positive connection at the battery.

Most modern BMW's have a pyrotechnic element in the positive battery clamp that breaks the 'heavy' connection to the starter.

You may still have hazard and interior lights working.

It can be pushed together temporary, but will need to be replaced to be reliable and to get the airbag light off.
