I saw some 20s at the dealer's yesterday, can't remember the price exactly but I think they were about £1300 with tyres. Not too bad a price I thought.
If you're on about those nasty reps as per your sig I can't help sorry.

Nasty reps?! hmm, i would have to disagree, they were just fine for the e30, saying that i would not put alpina reps on my e34.
As ive heard YOU ARE WERE AFTER ALPINA REPS YOURSELF A WHILE AGO!! word goes around...lmao....you shoul'dnt be so quick to dismiss reps as the 17" reps LOOK way better than the 16" originals IMO, any1 want to disagree with me, throw your best punch!!!!lol
Aside from that, that is good news, if you have seen 20" alpinas, surely 19" would also be availiable....I just was unsure they did them....Will carry on with my search....for those 19"s

I admit I have considered them....came to my senses though

For the 19s eBay is probably your best bet. Can't see there being many places online that would sell original Alpinas.

lol sorry but that information can not be disclosed.
sorry but that information can not be disclosed.
Have checked ebay with no luck, will keep searching. I am not really in a rush as the alloys i have are still good and also have continental sport rubber all around.
Replicas look crap on the 5series as they don't fill the rear arches.
A set of original 19" alpinas wider rears will do me fine!...

bk 171's are a higher state of coucilness. They a poorly made and most people suffer from vibration problems t speed (some are buckled when new) and bad tramlining.
nothing beats the real deal my friend
In answer to your question it is no. 18's are the biggest in the classic design and they are all 5 stud and about 20 inches wide and were made for the 8 series
oh and that price for new 20 inch pina's will be £1300 per wheel more than likely

There seems to be a certain theme on here...................................
if some one has a liking to a wheel other than 15" BBS' or 16" Alpina's they get slated!!!!!
Its all down to personal taste at the end of the day!
My touring came with 17" Alpina reps and to my taste they look good (altough they are going to be changed for 18" Alpina reps or 16" Borbet A's).
Now lets get back to finding some 19" Alpina reps for MrBMW78's E34!
(rant over!)

he doesn't want reps, i don't think they even do reps in that size it's 18's or 20's
20's don't go so i guess that narrows it down some.
This is a mainly purist site so these replys are to be expected, why change what worked first time round to be different!
19's on an E34 is even worse than fitting them to an E30. It would drive like a bag of shit. E34's are bad on 17's unless all suspension bushes are in new condition. Why would u want to look good when u can't even drive in a straight line because of all the tramlining

I have 18's on my E34 - rides superbly and my suspension bushes aren't new.
My other E34 has 17's and that rides very well too.
Both cars actually ride better than an E30 with new bushes on 15's.

I haven't witnessed 17's buckled from new or tramlining but I'll take your word for it. I agree not all BK wheels are made/engineered that well.
I think wilson325i has 18" reps on his tech1.
I have been in Player6's car with 19's and it doesn't tramline at all, and it sticks to the road like shit to a blanket!
Purist is cool, I guess some people just get a bit bored of seeing the same and want to be a bit different.

All alpina reps arent crap quality. The BK's are apparently but the ones i've got aren't bk's and are spot on,and have no spacers or vibration issues.
You can buy 18 reps for an e30 (4x100 PCD) ,there are 2 cars on here that have them but i think they are BK's.
cheers

if you find any give me a shout.imo you cant get a better wheel suited to the e30 than the alpina (rep or real) and the bigger the better ideally though id prefer an 18" are they available these days in a 4 stud fitment? i have never had problems with buckled reps, vibrations or tramlining and ive had a couple of sets now.

there is another firm who make 17 reps can't think of the name but yes they are supposed to be very good. I think they are German company C76jon had them on his old white sport
E34 M5's were designed to handle and work with 17's and 18's. Normal E34's weren't. E34's were again designed to ride better than E30's different market, bigger car, newer technology
To be fair quality tyres make a big difference to tramlining. E30's on 16's with poo tyres are bad!

I'm suprised you managed to spell half of that, and it wasn't all in 'text speak either'! (iil325i).
If the car is fully 'polybushed up' including the M3 eccentric bottom arm bushes etc (i.e. Player6's with 19's), I don't think it makes any difference what size wheels are fitted, E30 M3 DTM cars had 18's. Just what I have learnt in recent months.........normally E30's with 17's+ and normal suspension kits still drive like poo, other than those fitted with H&R.
The 18's I had were ET40 and were fitted with a spacer, yuk! No wonder they made the car feel awful.
You obviously didn't see that I spoke about 16" Borbet A's aswell, 16x7.5 front and 16x9 rear, euro style.

Any way, has anyone found any 19" alpina's for MrBMW78 ? All I can find is 18" reps and 20" genuine Alpina's.

any way, so if a sport handles best on 15 or 16" wheels with a 40mm drop how come min is better on 17" wheels with a 60mm drop that my new one on 16" alpina's with a 40mm drop oh and there both on springs and shocks
iv seen 19" alpina's on e-bay you will just have to wait and see what comes up mate

Fuzzy i ask you to join me at the sidelines with some popcorn, its getting heated in here.fuzzy wrote:hmm, ill leave this one between you 2 then, its obviously personal
Bloody burger kings always start arguments, classic.
I have learnt that its not how big the wheels are or how low the car is, its what actual suspension components are fitted, i.e. shocks & springs versus coilovers, Spax versus H&R, etc etc.

So the search continues, what about wheels from the newer 5 series E60?
I saw a black E34 in a magazine ages ago with them fitted, 19" I think.

Just plain salted ones Dan, can't afford any better. Going to have to sell my misses to Bootyman i think, he offers goats and chickens in exchange.

On topic-
19inch wheels look nice, but will handle naff, tyres cost more money, you might look chavish, my big wheels are making up for something need I continue.
  need I continue.
< or = 16" wheel for the e30

Not 100% sure if E39 wheels will fit onto an E34.

If you're talking about the black one with the ICE and the numberplate of something like Bl4CKK those were wheels from the latest 7 series.Dan325iSport wrote:I saw a black E34 in a magazine ages ago with them fitted, 19" I think.

LOOKS LIKE I TOUCHED A FEW NERVES THERE....HAHA...
LOOKS LIKE I TOUCHED A FEW NERVES THERE....HAHA...I SAID IT BEFORE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN...17" ALPINA REPLICAS DO AND WILL ALWAYS LOOK BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL 16" WHEELS, WHOEVER DISAGREE CAN THROW IN STATS, QUALITY ETC ETC...THAT IS EXPECTED OF COURSE THE ORIGINAL IS A BETTER OVERALL WHEEL.
I REPEAT IT STILL DOES NOT LOOK AS GOOD AS THE 17" REPLICA.
WHEN YOU LOOK AT A E30 WITH 16"ALPINAS LOOKS NICE, BUT THE 17" LOOK NICER....
I MAY HAVE BEEN MIS QUOTED ABOVE..SUMWHERE..i will add i was more than happy to have replicas on my e30, but i would not put replicas on my e34....this discussion started because people are too quick to dismiss replicas, 3rd time lucky...lol THEY LOOK BETTER.

Yep, that was the one I was thinking about. So late 7 series wheels maybe an option???
MrBMW78 - I agree with you 100%, original 16" Alpina's do look poo against the 17" replica's.
