Just thought I would share what I have been doing this winter with regards to the silver E46 dash trim.
The interior was all black with silver trim and although it worked well, I wondered what it would be like with it the same colour as the body, 442.
I took the three dash pieces off and rubbed down and primed and painted with lacquer but did buy spare steering wheel and gear stick surround trim. These are really cheap second hand too.
I did the same to these and after @ three months on and off ,got the last piece in last weekend.
I think it has worked really well and not too much OTT .
The ashtray area will be replaced this weekend , second hand for £10 !!!,
All paints are Hycote rattle cans and are very good too.
Mart.

(sorry about the mucky interior)
