135i coupe manual or dct?

I’m after a 135i coupe, budget around £15k so should get a good one hopefully.

Question is are DCT gearboxes safe enough to buy without a bmw warranty or am I better off sticking with a manual?

Can the dct gearbox be worked on or are the 5 figure horror stories true?

Went for a manual in the end. Carbon black, 13 plate. I'll do a fleet update, it's been a while.
