I just wondered if you (or any other Zone LPG experts) had any idea if the emissions on my '98 328i would meet Euro 4 standards if it was LPGed. (I'm based in the expanded London ULEZ which will mean a £12 a day charge for anything which isn't Euro 4 standards by 2021). Here's the bit about LPG from the new regs:

Retrofit: convert to Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)
If your vehicle has been converted to run on LPG you may meet the emissions standards. Converted vehicles will be treated based on the DVLA's records of its emissions standards. This means diesel vehicles should be converted to use LPG in a spark ignition engine, and the DVLA notified of the change.

We recommend using a UK LPG-approved installer. Our LoCITY programme has an up to date map showing LPG refuelling infrastructure in and around London.

I'm guessing it'd be cheaper to buy a car already converted, would there be some kind of identifying document to confirm what the new emissions standards for the car are :?

No exemptions for LPG cars, the only option is to vote that idiot Kahn out and get Jeremy Clarkson voted in for the Mayor of London.

But this:

"While an LPG converted petrol vehicle may have lower emissions than a similar diesel-engine vehicle, these are typically higher than pre-conversion petrol vehicle, so there is no air-quality benefit from these vehicles over that of a three-way catalyst equipped petrol engine."

...suggests LPG on a petrol motor doesn't improve emissions anyway, so the only choices are to buy a pre-80 car or buy something interesting post-2005.

There is a difference between the LEZ and ULEZ and the banding is set against the type approval of the car when it was manufactured.

If I was to convert my E30 to an EV I bet it would still be banned.

My Subaru is a registered car with a 2003 plate but was first registered in the UK in 2017..... will be interesting.

I bet the price of Q plates is on the up.

Any more pics of the touring? There are no 328i touring's less. Low life pond life including stance and drift cocks have destroyed all of them.

I know what you mean, the facebook groups are like a demolition derby. To follow the sales ad cliche, I looked a long time before finding this one (with just over 63,000 miles on it). I've swapped in some E36 fitment Styling 16s (keeping the originals), apart from that it is all factory.

Not many pictures unfortunately (half of them taken down the tip): :D

Berk advising tfl doesn't know what he's talking about. Very little comes out of the tailpipe of a properly running LPG fuelled car other than CO2 and water vapour. I can run my cars and work on them in a closed garage for hours with no ill effects to health.
Personally, tfl and there shenanigans, are of little interest to me. Driving where I want in France is a much greater concern, and fortunately the French authorities are much more educated on the subject, and my 2.8 E39 now has a CRIT'Air 1 certificate, classifying its emissions second only to zero emission cars such as electric.
