I’ve done a m52b28 swap on my 1993 316i and we are having problems with immobilisation (ews) the car from factory came without ews and we are getting no spark and no injection therefore I think I am going to have to wire in an ews module and the associated parts, however on my x20 connector (engine to body harness connector) I have a black/purple wire instead of a green one in pin 7 and have seen people mention this is a feed for the injectors. Do I have to relocate this pin?

I was under the impression that all M52 engines had EWS, so as your using the M52 ECU, you either need to add all the EWS bits and bobs or get the EWS removed from the ECU - which is probably the easiest route for you.
