With the daily e30 needing work, and not wanting to drive it in winter I have been thinking about buying another car. Then this came up with a non VANOS m50 for £1,450 from a wannabe trader type Polish guy. I am in need of a NV m50 for my turbo car, and prices have got a bit silly on them. One on eBay for £750 right now, which will be £1,100 + by the time it's landed.

75k miles. Full service history and stacks of receipts. Messaged him quite bluntly saying I am interested, but not at that price and we agreed £750 sans the awful AC wheels. Went to view it and was pleasantly surprised. A very together turd that has within the last 1000 miles had all new brakes, full service etc. Just leaking power steering fluid. A deal was done and I picked it up this evening.

Looks far better on the original steelies.
Drives spot on however the temp creeps up in traffic/at idle. New viscous fan is being picked up tomorrow as it is not engaging and will have a look at the leaking PAS fluid.
Parked up with the other 2:

Interior is very clean:

I can already tell I am going to like the car. Will probably fit an m52 to keep it going rather than scrap it, and let the missus drive it. But for now, it will make a lovely winter chariot
