Had some plates turn up today from a very nice man at pukar designs :)

Went for BMW GB as I'm not quite sure who supplied the car going with the service history, it looks as though BMW was the first owner.

Nice car and congratulations on the new arrival, shame your not after a place nearer me, my old house is for sale in Retford with a garage and workshop on the back, brick built shed and a drive. Bit far from Mansfield possibly although we have 4/5 lads work for us who travel from there.

So today, a mate of mine came over and gave my car a quick detail, he wanted a bit of work doing on his car so I did that while he gave my car a once over with some nice smelling products. There are a few bits of paint work I've added to my list. Also a wheel refurb is on the cards. I've just bought a private plate, and also a cable so I can run an auxiliary port. I looked at the Bluetooth adaptor that I posted in the first post, but it means getting rid of the CD changer, unless there's anyone that knows of any other options?

Appletree - my Mrs works in Worksop and I suggested the idea but she wants to stay closer to her family etc so looks I'm staying in sunny Woodhouse a˜ƒ

No Barry, just a business tape player, with cd changer.

Willnz - just for ease of use, I can get in the car without having to mess about with my phone, choosing a song etc. I don't do many long trips. If I put auxiliary in I can then use my iPod/phone if I want.

Today I finally got round to doing most of the bits I wanted to, luckily I did as the oil filter was about ready to fall to bits. Managed to do the following:

Oil/filter
Air filter
Fuel filter
Pollen filters
Spark plugs
Brake fluid
Antifreeze
Water pump
Thermostat
Viscous coupling
Auto box fluid and filter
Diff oil
Auxiliary belts

I've still got the brake pipes to replace front to rear, and also repair the exhaust as some studs have corroded away.

I've also ordered some tyres which should be here Monday, putting Eagle F1 Asymetrical 2s on the front to match the rear. And I've got a Bluetooth adaptor which I first spoke about at the beginning of the thread, my CD changer skips after a while so I've decided to go the Bluetooth root.

It's done 11k since the last service, and the inspection light wasn't on.

Although this is not the first time I've had the filter fall to bits on a BMW.

I'll be doing the oil and filter much more regular than previous owners.

Got some tyres on yesterday, went with eagle F1s to match the back. Also managed to do the tracking aswell. And I haven't noticed any tram lining as such. I would like to get it properly 4 wheel aligned but I know all the bolts in the back arms will be seized!

Yours looks the same as mine, I've got 2 my 530i is on lpg and been a great daily, the other one is my wife's 525i in topaz, you can't beat e39s for the money these days, and in sport spec they still look fairly modern too

The only thing I don't like about the sport bumpers is they seem to be made from china, the slightest bump and they break. I had a jaguar x type reverse into me a month or so ago and the coonts bumper pretty much turned itself inside out, the standard E39 front however just stole some of his paint, bit of a t-cut and you wouldn't know

Ford crap innit. One of the few cars I genuinely detest, pretentious toss.
