Earlier today i was in my friends above mentioned car and we came across a burst water main of which flooded the road with about 7-8 inches(this did rise a little with on coming traffic) of water,so we slowed down to about 3 miles an hour, went through and engine died and wouldnt start.
Phoned a local garage who had heard of this before and mentioned hydrolocking and that the engine will prob have to be replaced?!
How is water supposed to get in the mofo engine at that speed and surely if if had then this is a severe design fà ult??
Anyone eles heard of this before??
