Just back from a local dealership that put on an unveiling day for the new M3 and M4.

Clawed back some of the money I put in their tills in the form of free burgers and coffee.

Quite surprised, I have been lusting after the M4 but in the flesh found myself liking the M3 over the M4.

Just wondering what the consensus is? (Other than modern TURDZZZ)

I would have the m3 in a heartbeat. For what ever reason the rear arches look 10 times better

I got an invite but could not be bothered. For £5K, I'd rather buy a new corvette.

I got invited into the workshop yesterday as they PDI the M3/4 and I would have the M3 over the M4.

I see the M4 as more of older mans weapon and the M3 a young mans toy but the M3 looks the dogs. The £57k price tag seems steep but compared to the equavilant Mercedes and Audi it sits just right.

It's not that bad, an e36 m3 with a couple of options was £35k not far off 20 years ago!
cheers,

Exactly. A fully optioned up E46 M3 was pushing £50k 10 years ago.

The M3 CS with tax was £48k
The original owner paid just £35k as he did not have to pay tax and had some discount in 2006.

My invite has gone unused. Spent yesteday fitting and gapping the new doors on the Compact and fettling Neil's 628CSi, and today I'm off to a big Jaguar club event to drool over some proper cars.

I couldn't work out if the rear arches are more flared than the M4 or just seem so because of the contrast with the rear doors?

Where's the 'I don't give a toss' option?

I quite like Yas Marina Blue on both of them or black
The M3 does look good
Not sure which I prefer
Still can't get over them calling it M4 Coupe

I would add that option if I could. I'll remember for next time! :)
