this is cheap, not the best spec but its manual and also a 2005 built car. Infact its the 3rd from last one built. Even newer than mine

that 2002 with the e30 M3 engine is a car I would love
Now that is very nice. Those 4.0 engines were tough old bastards and more reliable than the 4.4. Whilst manuals have an appeal, these are just as fast as an auto and a lot less money. Nicer to drive as well.

It certainly has an appeal - just something lovely about it.Andyboy wrote:Now that is very nice. Those 4.0 engines were tough old bastards and more reliable than the 4.4. Whilst manuals have an appeal, these are just as fast as an auto and a lot less money. Nicer to drive as well.

This one has major tasty spec. celeb first owner also

If e34 values are on the rise it will be the left hooker stuff that goes up. This is good spec and lowish milege. Awsome colour

Good work Mark ! I really do not understand these clowns who clock cars in 2014 . He has now foooked the value of that car in a futile attempt to draw another £500 out of it. What are the chances the gearbox still jumps out of gear
Pacerpete has a nice SWB one up for grabs!

Mid 20's isn't too bad. 105L tank does appeal to me!
The 750 is a rare swb 'sport' model with memory black leather Recaro style sports seats. It is a '91 in granite silver with cruise, working factory PDC, soft close boot, electric rear headrests etc.
The car has Ca 120 miles with some history and bills. Car is excellent mechanically and being a swb car has no nasty EDC self levelling type b0llox
Like all old turds , it has some issues. It can be bought as is and driven away or I can fix some / all of the issues and supply it with a fresh MOT and taxed. As with everything, it is all down to money

Out of those 4 choices
E34 M5
I always loved these and the only one I would go for is the E34 M5 3.8 LE which in my mind are a classic and very rare and a nice standard OEM one looks bloody classy. Never driven one but looking at the numbers looks a little "slow" by today standard
They are very rare and seems hard to find one let alone a nice one.
Z3 M Coupe
I hated the looks of these when these were new but now for some strange reason I actually really like them especially the back end. The only one I would consider is S54 as is more desireable. ML had a 30k mileage S54 in Estoril Blue which looked stunning. Don't these suffer cracking floors though or something ? A lot of people seem to tip them their prices will go up but they never actually sold that well when new.
E39 M5
This jumps at me straight away. Always loved these. Never driven one but they look so classy, sophisticated, supercar fast for the time and a facelift Le Mans Blue would my ideal spec. Given you are a family man this is probably the most practical for you and combines all your needs. Nice ones surely be on the up soon ???? This is supposed to be one of the best M Power cars ever. I would prefer this or the E46 M3 out of all the choices.
E46 M3
Fast, practical, great looking, great engine. Discreet-ish. Only let downs for me are crap sound system, and exhaust noise too quiet. And rust issues and boot floor issues can occur. However, given you are a family man this can fit your needs but what would bother me is the kids feet messing up my seats and carpets when ever anyone sits in the rear. This is surely less likely to happen in E39 M5. I would suggest expanding your budget from £7.5-10k to £15k and find the best low owner low mileage standard OEM original E46 M3 or E39 M5 you can find and be happy.
Or get a Carbon Black E46 M3 Coupe and you, Barry and me can all park next to each other at Surrey meets innit !!!!
PS forget the E32 750i all about the E32 750iL and E38 750iL with EDC
8 Series looks great but too heavy though is supposed to be good GT
