Hi,
Do any of you run winters on your e34? i'm getting some 15" bbs and thought I may as well go for some winter rubber as its getting a bit chilly. The manual lists 205/65/15 for the touring 525i but someone has suggested 195/65/15 and they are about £40 a tyre cheaper! - my only concern is that its not a listed size for the touring (presumably due to the extra weight)
am I worrying about nothing? / any experiences?
Cheers

I used 195/65/15 winters on steels, but only when snow/ice was on the ground, when its dry they are not the best to drive on due to the smaller footprint and extra flex, ok for going slow/sensible but you cant put your foot down
Dont get me wrong though, they are fantastic to drive through snow, nothing stopped me at all

Will be selling them if your interested?

being thinner they'll be better in the snow, but fractionally less sidewall. tbh, i'd run the thinner ones, especially with such a saving!
I've got a pair of 215 45 for the e36 when the recommended size is 225 45, but only plan on using them when snow is imminent. used every day, i think they'd be dead before the end of winter as they feel very soft.
