Its a scotch turd and the SL reg means it a Dundee car so i'm guessing is a John Clark BMW sold Alpina and at a guess its been up there all its life so most likely hanging!

Assuming the donk is kosher, what's the spec on them Barry?
If its a B10 3.5 and not the lesser B3.5 then the spec is as follows.
High comp mahle pistons
S38 conrods
268 degree cam
worked cylinder head with hemispherical combustion chambers
Reprogrammed DME
Alpina /Boysen exhaust system.
Lee parks has the same donk in his E30.

With the reworked head im lead to believe they have larger valves too.

I have sent the chap an email to ask if he knows if the engine is the uprated Alpina one. I bought one which was hanging a year or so back and have the same engine as Lee which is going to be put in my motor as well.
