I carried out a running in service on one today & have to say, what a car!!! On a german plate, this car in germany is not on sale until feb 2012 so was the only one out on the roads over there. An epic motor! Unfortunetly i couldn't roadtest it as the customer was waiting. Bloke goes last night he went onto the A5 and foot to floor.. A little while later glanced down and was doing 167mph! By the way, the engine & 2 turbos comes in at 23grand not incl VAT!!!!!!!

Our workshop.
The F10 M5 sounds like an E39 with Hayward and Scott rear boxes but even better!

The new f10 m5 is right up my street. 0-60 in 4 seconds, and the ton in less than 9 seconds. Fantastic performance.

Those are the optional 20's. The standard 19's look different.

If I win the lottery (quite a slim chance as I don't play it) then I'll be buying one in brown.
What are the cables for? It makes it look quite complicated!

Those wheels really date it, they're near identical to the old m6 ones. Odd choice optional or not.
cheers,

Cables to the engine is a battery charger and the yellow wire is for diagnostics

I'd have thought they'd have a flatter floor nowadays... Ferraris and other exotica are almost flat now.

i suppose it needs to be flatter underneath because 200mph isn't fast enough is it?!
Ferraris is hardly the same as this!

it all looks pretty neatly tucked away to be honest.
i agree with the above too, that badged calliper looks like a right pikey ebay special, you'd have thought they could have had some nice cast or machined in ones at least

cheers,
harry

i see one in South Mimms services on the m25/a1 the other day 61 plate, ill agree with the sound its awesome and those brakes are flapping huuuuuuge
but my only critisim so far is that aside from the wheels and brakes it doesnt look much different to a standard 5 series too....... 'soft' looking

It's more to do with reducing lift (or maybe even producing down force) than top speed

Most new BMW's are fairly flat underneath with plenty of plastic under paneling up to the rear axle then from there back there isn't really any of that.
