As I've been considering putting an m30 in the e30 for a while, I ask you guys are e32's any good as a donor? In 735i form obviously. Reason I ask is that I've always fancied an e32 and wouldn't mind smoking one round for a while. That's if I can find a cheap turd, haven't noticed many about lately.

E32's are a good donor as most are auto's and had an easier life. E32 and E34 engines are identical.

Also, to th OP- they're starting to get rare for small monies- very few seem to crop up now. e34 535i's are much more common

I've looked at e23's and although I think they're way cool, I would so much rather smoke round in a 32, something about em! The search is on

what are e32's saying as a breaker? there is obviously a load of toys/switches etc. how much of it will sell? i'm not expecting to make thousands but a few hundred sheets would sweeten the situation a bit. Weighing in wise, are they as heavy as they look?

I doubt you'll sell much of the E32 Matt, if ti's auto, then engine won't have had too much of a hard life.
E34 is better, like the one in the link, you can get mone back on the kit, wheels, leather, obc etc....

i thought as much, i'm seeing it would be more sensible financially to rape an e34, but i'm really fancying the 32 for moping around in! ah well if i get it cheap enough i guess it will be a good m30 plus whatever i get out of it in scrap. Knowing me i'll end up fully restoring the turd and losing thousands but im trying to avoid my usual behaviour with this venture!

Here's a few pics of the turd, 124,910 miles, full service record, everything works, bodywork has a few scabs but none of it is any more than surface blisters, shell is pretty damn solid! Mechanically it seems perfect, runs beautifully. Recently had a new rad, new viscous coupling, new intake boot and new rocker gasket. Engine bay is immaculate and dry as a bone so far. Has only done 500 miles since it's last service in 2007 so I'll be going round it thoroughly, brakes etc. All I need now is a set of beige leather electric seats and some cheap tyres and we're away!

It doesn't look the best at the minute but it's all there and it's a good honest motor under there somewhere! You just know I'm gonna get carried away with this dips......got any superRS's? Lol
It was like brand new under the arches and floorpan, then I got it off the trailer and did some donuts so it's hangin again now lol
It's a properly built machine though! Lots of car for the pennies. Imagine what a £310 e30 would be like behind the scenes!

Yeah Pete haha, I just wish I had 1250 lying around, but I wouldn't fancy using the v12 as a daily!

I adore my E32s, so can totally understand the desire. We have had our latest family wagon (a much cherished throughout its life 740i) for 2 years now, and I cannot see me getting rid of it.
My E30 donor was an E32 auto, and much as i thought the autobox suited the 7, the manual gearbox I now have really helps me enjoy the E30.
http://the7seriesregister.co.uk is a great source of technical help, and people breaking E32s.

They are lovely cars, mines a little rough around the edges but it's so smooth and refined. A perfectly laid out well built car, a much better car than their current values tend to suggest.
I can't for the life of me get the 7 series register to work? It just comes up as a blank page everytime I try to load it up. Frustrating as I'm suffering! Feels like I'm on my own with this one, nobody wants to know! Breakers just suck their teeth as soon as you mention e32

The 'Home' page is some sort of animation, so perhaps that is causing issues on your PC.MattTheHat325 wrote:I can't for the life of me get the 7 series register to work? It just comes up as a blank page everytime I try to load it up.
