Notice how the the black E30 is substituted for an E21 when it gets set on fire?

An E30 must have been to expensive to burn in '87!

Have you still got that photo of the mauritious motorsport in for a water pump. That was a peach as well. :D
I cant find the pics of the maritious motorsport but i did an inspection 2 on this last year, it belongs to a zoners father. Only had 42k and was very mint and original!

Seen this in the flesh. It's as nice as it looks.

Yeah, seen it but missed the specs.

Watched "Rise of the Foot Soldier" again yesterday via iPod on the train. Also a good 80's revisit.

I've just noticed on that 6 series that even the dashboard is covered in leather. Even has electric seats.

Probably beacause i get the most excited about them. (Yes sad i know!)
Barry,

Would you mind a slightly related hi-jack question? Just wondering if you knew if all dealers maintained diagnostics that would talk to older cars? I need to get the alarm ECU reset on my '94 E32 740i, and am convinced I will get charged £200 to be simply told the current diag stuff won't talk that far back.

Lovely cars by the way, thanks for sharing.

Martin.

The dealer I worked at sees a few oldies too, the odd E28 and E30 mainly. The mechanics there have been there for up to 20 years so there's no shortage of knowledge. That's rare in a dealership these days.

I have all the tech info for the carbs on the E3/E12/E9, the 35/40 INATs. An E3 that early won't have the TM starter auto choke or the mixture bypass though. You need to balance them with a double pipe vacuum gauge.

Contrary to popular belief, the rear shelf and headlining on highlines are vinyl, good quality, nicely stitched ,but vinyl :(
