Link doesn't work for me.
There are a few places selling E28's for strong money .. like these guys: Clicky ...
M535i £4,995
535i SE £4,995
M5 £12,995
Granted they're lowish mileage but need to immaculate for that money IMHO

these seem to be on the up a few years ago they were cheap and diffficult to sell. Next months classic car mart promises a detailed guide which will help raise their profile further. I like them a lot but the two i have driven did not inspire confidence in the handling stakes but then again how many "classics" do?

That green one has been for sale for months now.
As with any old classic, the very best examples will fetch top money, but they have to be THE best.
The current trend is for the very best vehicles to fetch some silly money at the moment. Average vehicles are not faring so well, proving a little more difficult to shift.

I've noticed there's a yawning chasm opening up between mint E24s - at around £10-13k - and anything remotely tired coming in at £1-4k. Logical that E28s would be doing something similar.
A nice, manual, e28 M535i ought to be about £4-5k, but it wants to be a sub 100k miler, few owners and genuine FSH. There aren't many about like that. Decent useable ones seem to hover between £1500 and 3 grand.
e24s are a joke at the moment - loads of lashed up shit around asking for £5k. Genuine manuals are pretty rare and command a big premium. I think the value is in the early, e12 based cars - they haven't really gone as berserk in terms of values as the later cars, and it's probably true to say that only the best of them are still around, where as there are a lot of weighbridge dodgers with shiny paint among the mid-80s ones.

I had a really tidy E28 535i SE manual with BBS's and slightly lowered, it ran superbly and even beat Bryn Musselwhite of Retrocar Magazine 535i TWR at Santa Pod. I sold it to some tosser from Stevenage for £800 who broke it
Big mistake selling that car.
