M50-Compact EWS??

Picked up a 99 Compact a few weeks ago with bit of front end damage.
Has the M43 1.9 engine fitted which is in pretty good shape.
I have all the parts including engine to convert it to an M50.
Never done it on an E36 but is bound to be easier on this.
Only things im not sure of are the EWS-non Vanos,what prop to use to retain the M43 box and using a 325i coupe exhaust(due to length).
The conversion will cost me more or less nothing to do apart from few gaskets etc and the car stands me at nothing to be honest either so ive nothing to lose doing it.

So how would I get round the EWS?
What propshaft/gear linkage would I need to use to retain the M43 box?
How much hassle to fit the full 325i Coupe system to the compact?

he did mine for me, but IIRC he used the 328i prop and box.

328i down pipes and cats, and i had rear section made up

Tony, how do you propose to mate an M50 with a 4 cylinder box?! and if it does go on, i should imagine it would destroy it!!

my m50 (albeit in an e30) has a 20 year old 4 cylinder box... and it still works. Definately not dead yet! i wouldnt discount a 4 pot box just becuase its from a 4 pot! yes it will be weaker than a gearbox from a 6 cylinder car but this isnt no french gearbox!
